Advanced Endometriosis Excision Training Course

September 22, 2024

Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge, MA

All Hands-0n Advanced Training Course in Endometriosis Surgery

Rationale for this course: the excision of endometriosis (not surface ablative) is increasingly recognized as standard of care. For both DIE and for superficial peritoneal disease, removal of it is curative. The necessary laparoscopic skills for performing such radical excisional procedures include hemostasis, fine dissection, sharp excision of deeply invasive disease into bowel, bladder and ureter with requisite defect repair and integrity testing, as well as other non-Gyn specific procedures including cystoscopic stent placement, transanal stapling and even bowel resection and re-anastomosis.

This 9 hr CME and MOC IV accredited all hands-on training course (each attendee having their own station) is focused on radical surgical skill development leveraging highest fidelity real tissue surgical simulation models, close supervised deliberate practice, and full surgeon engagement in highly realistic simulation.

Intended Audience:  Gynecologic surgeons desiring skill advancement in the surgical excisional treatment of Stages I-IV endometriosis.

Course limited to 10 attendees.

Course Venue:  Clark Lecture Hall, Mount Auburn Hospital. 330 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts
