What is Executive Fellowship in Advanced MIGS and Endometriosis Care ?
The Executive Fellowship in Advanced MIGS and Endometriosis Care (EFAMEC) is designed along the lines of the “Executive MBA” – a curriculum and schedule designed for the early or mid-career practicing Gynecologist intending a transformation of their surgical skill and knowledge, who cannot take time away from their work and/or family to enroll in a full-time training. It is a program designed for the focused adult learner – relevant, practicable, and professionally transformative.
This 18-month, longitudinal program provides a robust and comprehensive curriculum of intensive, hands-on MIGS training using highly realistic simulation platforms to provide highly engaging, highest fidelity operative training:
Real Tissue Models demonstrating customized pathology across the realm of Gynecology
Human cadaver in support of expert laparoscopic dissection skills and knowledge of female pelvic surgical anatomy.
Endometriosis-prepped, whole-body post mortem porcine specimens.
Leveraging these remarkable training platforms and “supervised deliberate practice” as its core educational theory with repeated exposure to core and advanced MIGS procedures — including endometriosis excision — you’ll build the depth of knowledge and skill, with resulting surgical confidence to manage complex gynecologic surgeries and become an exceptional MIGS surgeon.
